Coca-Cola in Canada operates in all ten provinces and employs 6,300 people in more than 50 facilities, including seven production facilities, offering a wide variety of non-alcoholic brands.
This project involved the consolidation and relocation of Coca-Cola Canada into a new headquarter facility located in the heart of Toronto’s newest urban renewal district. Three floors were added to the top of the existing SUN Newspaper building for Coke by the First Gulf. MARANT was retained, as the construction manager, to build out the interior space. The new floors created a three story “sunny” atrium/town hall area for large gatherings. The amenity areas included many alternative meeting/lounge spaces, as well as a large cafeteria created from recycled materials such as wood table tops and plastic seating. An outdoor patio was created adjacent to the cafeteria.
“With a challenging schedule, and multiple base building issues, MARANT was able to quickly respond to unforeseen issues during the construction and, together with the consulting team, brought our beautifully designed, “green” project in on time. Our best decisions involved the project team we selected.”
