We are fortunate, as an organization, to be part of the larger community that is determined, on many fronts, to make our world a better place. We believe it is our responsibility, as a member of the community, to operate responsibly and give back wherever we can.
MARANT is committed to sustainable design and construction practices and is an active member of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC). All our senior team members have been trained on the LEED certification process and all new site administrators must achieve their LEED designation. We have in-house LEED expertise, and experience managing all the constructor's requirements as it relates to a client’s sustainability objectives. Making office environments and communities greener through sustainable construction practices is an essential objective of our business today.
MARANT sponsors numerous charities and research organizations at a corporate level, and we are proud that our employees, individually, are involved in many charitable activities to either raise awareness or money for important social issues and causes. Our principle charity is the RIDE to Conquer Cancer and over the past nine years our team has raised over $1.5M for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Other sponsorships include: Ride for Heart, Swing for the Cure, Foster Parents, World Wildlife Federation, North York General Hospital's Cancer Care Services, Global Grass Roots – Africa, Mariposa in the Schools, Covenant House, United Way, Canadian Olympians, Dunblaine School for Kids with Learning Disabilities, Sick Kids, Good Sheppard Ministries, Second Harvest, True Patriot Love Foundation, Just Give, MS Society, and Eva’s.
